Astonishingly, the fourteenth<\/em> series of Big Finish’s successful Jago & Litefoot<\/em> range is available now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally scripted as full-cast audio dramas, the tales have been adapted into audiobooks, each to be performed by a single voice actor, due to the great Trevor Baxter\u2019s sad passing in 2017.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those reading these terrific tales are Christopher Benjamin (Doctor Who, The Avengers<\/em>), Lisa Bowerman (Bernice Summerfield, Casualty<\/em>), Jamie Newall (Sherlock Holmes, The Eighth Doctor Adventures<\/em>), and Duncan Wisbey (Torchwood, Iris\u00a0Wildthyme<\/em>).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Series 14<\/em>\u00a0takes listeners through the streets of London, listening in on secret meetings and gaining exclusive access to fancy parties and\u00a0a Christmas pantomime to remember.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Producer Alfie Shaw said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJago &\u00a0Litefoot<\/em>\u00a0was the first Big Finish spin-off that I fell in love with, and it was a delight to be able to add to the rich legacy these characters have at Big Finish.\u00a0Obviously, with the sad passing of Trevor Baxter, we couldn\u2019t proceed with\u00a0Series 14<\/em>\u00a0as a full-cast production, even though the scripts were completed. The decision was taken to convert them into single-reader audiobooks, and I was keen for all the readers to be either series regulars or actors who have played reoccurring roles throughout the full-cast adventures. This is a boxset made by\u00a0Jago &\u00a0Litefoot<\/em>\u00a0fans for\u00a0Jago &\u00a0Litefoot<\/em>\u00a0fans.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Director and reader Lisa Bowerman added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was with a heavy heart that we thought we\u2019d never re-visit the world of\u00a0Jago &\u00a0Litefoot<\/em>\u00a0again, after the sad loss of Trevor. How wonderful to be able to use the stories that had already been prepared for\u00a0Series 14<\/em>, which of course followed on from the events of the previous series.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cI had tremendous fun reading my particular story, by that master of\u00a0Jago &\u00a0Litefoot<\/em>\u00a0writing Paul Morris \u2013 and what larks to be able to read for both Jago and\u00a0Litefoot! (I hope they\u2019ll forgive me!) Not forgetting Ellie of course, as well as a cornucopia of other characters.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

\u201cOf course, I also had the great joy of directing Chris\u2019s story as well. What a treat to hear old H.G.J. strutting his stuff again. There\u2019s such a heart to the world of\u00a0Jago &\u00a0Litefoot<\/em>, and it was lovely to be able to immerse myself in it all again for one last time.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have mixed feelings on being back, really. It\u2019s sad that it\u2019s the end, it\u2019s sad that we lost Trevor, and that he wasn\u2019t here to do this properly, but on the other hand it\u2019s lovely to be working and with Lisa, so that\u2019s something.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

It’s nice, too, knowing that these stories continue and those Infernal Investigators have more stories to tell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
