To celebrate 60 years of the world’s greatest sci-fi series, Blue Peter<\/em> is launching a competition that gives one lucky fan from the UK the chance to go behind the scenes of Doctor Who<\/em> for an exclusive VIP tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, they’ll get a limited edition winner’s badge!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue Peter<\/em> is the longest running kids TV show in the world that is still broadcast in the UK and has previously hosted many Who<\/em> competitions, so it feels right that these two TV giants are linked up again on the eve of Who<\/em>‘s 60th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launching this Friday (28th April 2023), viewers in the UK aged between 5 and 15 will be asked to draw Doctor Who<\/em> fan art and say why they would love the opportunity to win an exclusive set tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One winner will go behind the scenes to discover how the iconic series is made and find out all about the work of the Production Design team. They’ll also receive a rare collectable Doctor Who<\/em> 60th Blue Peter<\/em> competition winner\u2019s badge. The limited-edition badge will be revealed on Blue Peter on Friday 28 April and will be awarded to the top 500 competition entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re celebrating two 60th anniversaries this year, for Doctor Who<\/em> and for the Blue Peter<\/em> badge. The two programmes have collaborated many times over the years so I\u2019m thrilled to be able to offer such a unique and exciting experience.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The competition is open for entries from 5pm on Friday 28th April 2023, when full details of how to enter, including rules and privacy notice, will be on the <\/em>Blue Peter<\/em> website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition closes at 5pm on Monday 15th May 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner and top runners-up will be announced in a Doctor Who<\/em> takeover on CBBC and BBC iPlayer later in the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also learn how to create a TARDIS for your bookshelves in a classic Blue Peter<\/em> \u2018make\u2019 shown on the programme last Friday (21st April 2023) and available on BBC iPlayer. Fans in the UK can also head to the Blue Peter<\/em> website<\/a> to create their own sonic screwdriver.<\/p>\n
